About
I am a St Louis based artist, maker and philosophy professor. For many years I have taught ethics and logic, made and sold hand knit items and costumes, and, of
course, painted. With enough practice over the years I got fairly skilled at represetational painting... I can paint a flower that looks like a flower, etc.
My paintings that I call 'organic geometry," which are the lines and circles, started a few years ago when I decidedly turned away from representational visual art.
I decided to see what heppens when I am not trying to represent something in a painting, but rather, express something which is essentially unrepresetatinal or
unsayable.
